Title of Question |
Uneven Grass at Clarendon Road
|
Issue: |
The grassy area at Clarendon Road remains a health and safety hazard despite recent work done under the Environmental Improvement Budget.
|
Background: |
The grassy area is uneven and full of potholes.
An EDB bid to have it levelled was deemed too expensive, so different work was done on this area. The potholes were supposed to be filled in as part of this, but they remain a problem.
The situation is made worse by the grass not being cut, so it isn’t possible to see what is underfoot. Residents have fallen and sustained injuries.
|
Action requested by residents: |
Raise again and ask for the potholes to be filled and grass cut to make the area safe.

|
Officer Response: |
The grass has been cut; levelling would not be done as part of routine City Parks maintenance.
Options for this are being considered and a verbal update will be given.
|
Action: |
Continue to cut the grass in this area. |
